Nicole comes to the Neighborhood Design Center from Baltimore Center Stage, where she managed fundraising operations across corporate, foundation, government, individual giving, and special events. Jennifer Goold joined the Neighborhood Design Center in 2012 after more than a decade of work in cultural resources management, historic preservation, development and planning. At NDC, she directs all aspects of the center’s operations including staff, programs, outreach, and fundraising.

Lubna Chaudhry is a former intern, and volunteer turned Project Manager for Architecture and Interiors projects at NDC. As a start, we hypothesized that by reusing the existing buildings, by treating them with respect and affection, we would, in a sense, be communicating respect for the neighborhood as a whole. Inside the buildings, we created an environment to showcase our client’s furniture, which was fabricated onsite using the same materials and strategies that we used outside. No one defaced or graffiti-ed a single square inch, in a neighborhood that is regularly vandalized.

This was our 2nd visit to OCMD and the Sea Rocket boat tour. Both times was a great experience and we got to see dolphins both times.
